Jewish Religious Leaders
Shortly after the earthquake at Port Royal in 1692, Jewish communities were established in Spanish Town and Kingston.
There is no authentic data available as to where they worshipped in Kingston before the Synagogue on Princess Street was built in 1750, but we are certain thHt they must have gathered in homes for worship, wo there may have been another Synagogue as many like David Lopez Narbona in his will dated 20th April, 1707, made a bequest to the 'Synagogue at Kingston'.
